The final installment of Leigh Janiak’s Fear Street trilogy, Fear Street Part Three: 1666, faced the challenge of ending the series on a high note while tying together all the story threads from the previous two movies. Set in the year 1666, the film leans into the slower-paced, atmospheric style of folk horror, but with less pop culture references than the earlier installments. The main cast, Madeira, Welch, and Flores Jr., returns but with unconvincing Irish accents. The film begins with a slower pace, but delivers some distressing and effective scenes before an unconventional twist in the middle. However, the historical setting feels inauthentic and struggles to transport the viewer to the past. As the story reaches its climax, it becomes overly convoluted, with too many characters and events. While the trilogy’s synergy and connectivity is commendable, the final film feels bloated and loses its momentum. Fans of the first two movies may appreciate the resolution of the various plot points, but taken on its own, it is uneven and not entirely satisfying.

La última entrega de la trilogía Fear Street de Leigh Janiak, Fear Street Part Three: 1666, enfrentó el desafío de terminar la serie con una nota alta mientras unía todos los hilos de la historia de las dos películas anteriores. Ambientada en el año 1666, la película se inclina hacia el estilo más lento y atmosférico del terror popular, pero con menos referencias a la cultura pop que las entregas anteriores. El elenco principal, Madeira, Welch y Flores Jr., regresa pero con acentos irlandeses poco convincentes. La película comienza con un ritmo más lento, pero ofrece algunas escenas angustiosas y efectivas antes de un giro poco convencional en el medio.
