SINOPSIS
En un universo paralelo donde Peter Parker ha muerto, un joven de secundaria llamado Miles Morales es el nuevo Spider-Man. Sin embargo, cuando el líder mafioso Wilson Fisk (a.k.a Kingpin) construye el “Super Colisionador” trae a una versión alternativa de Peter Parker que tratará de enseñarle a Miles como ser un mejor Spider-Man. Pero no será el único Spider Man en entrar a este universo, 4 versiones alternas de Spidey aparecerán y buscarán regresar a su universo antes de que toda la realidad colapse.

“Into the Spider-Verse,” directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, and Rodney Rothman, brings a breath of fresh air to the comic book movie genre. Their dynamic and inventive use of tone, form, and texture rejuvenates a genre that has been repeatedly exploited. Each year we see Marvel movies, and the idea of one more might seem like market saturation or, even worse, a blatant cash grab. However, “Into the Spider-Verse” chooses a different path, offering a unique narrative style and a fresh perspective on the stakes. The film acknowledges that the audience is already familiar with the various versions of Spider-Man, and capitalizes on this familiarity through clever use of breaking the fourth wall and self-aware narration. The characters are comic book heroes who know they are in a comic, which makes their adventures even more thrilling.
The film’s outstanding cast of voice actors contributes to its appeal. Their sense of humor and timing, combined with the human elements and drama within their adventures, add weight to the plot. The audience doesn’t need to know the parallel universe of Spider-Man characters to enjoy the film. At the heart of the story is Brooklyn teenager Miles Morales, voiced by Shameik Moore. After being bitten by a radioactive spider, Morales undergoes an extraordinary transformation. His everyday life, depicted with detailed realism and comic book aesthetics, invites the audience into a visually stunning world. Like his counterpart, Peter B. Parker, Morales finds his new powers both exhilarating and terrifying. The characters introduce themselves in a humorous and self-aware way, repeatedly referencing their well-known origin stories, providing a constant source of laughs.
The film introduces us to a new angle of the iconic superhero, with a middle-aged, disillusioned, and somewhat overweight Peter Parker. Voiced by Jake Johnson, Parker becomes a reluctant, sarcastic, yet sad mentor to Morales. But there’s more to the story. A super collider built by crime lord Wilson Fisk brings several Spider-beings from other dimensions, such as the acrobatic Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman, the hard-boiled detective Spider-Noir, the anime-inspired Penni Parker, and the scene-stealing Spider-Ham. Familiar characters like Peter’s love, Mary Jane, his loyal Aunt May, and notorious enemies including Doc Ock also appear in the film. Brian Tyree Henry and Mahershala Ali bring to life Morales’ father and uncle, two very different figures who have greatly influenced the intelligent and resourceful young man Morales has become, with Luna Lauren Velez voicing his supportive mother, Rio.
