The 2018 film Venom, despite its flaws, was entertaining for me. Its sequel, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, continues the story of Eddie Brock (Hardy) and the alien symbiote Venom, with a new villain, deranged serial killer Cletus Kasady (Carnage). The self-awareness and strong performance of Tom Hardy were the key factors that made the first film enjoyable, and the same elements saved the sequel from failure. Though it may not be a great film, Let There Be Carnage is still fun, thanks to the comical banter between Eddie and Venom, as well as solid performances by Woody Harrelson, Michelle Williams, and Stephen Graham. The pacing is brisk and it follows genre conventions, however, it’s not an original film, but it embraces its own style and it’s that vibe that keeps me interested. It carries a message of being true to oneself and tolerating others, and if you’re looking for some light-hearted and entertaining content, it’s worth watching. To sum up, Venom: Let There Be Carnage may not be an outstanding film, but I had a good time with it.

La película Venom de 2018, a pesar de sus fallas, fue entretenida para mí. Su secuela, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, continúa la historia de Eddie Brock (Hardy) y el simbionte alienígena Venom, con un nuevo villano, el asesino en serie trastornado Cletus Kasady (Carnage). La autoconciencia y la sólida actuación de Tom Hardy fueron los factores clave que hicieron que la primera película fuera agradable, y los mismos elementos evitaron que la secuela fracasara. Aunque puede que no sea una gran película, Let There Be Carnage sigue siendo divertida, gracias a las bromas cómicas entre Eddie y Venom, así como a las sólidas actuaciones de Woody Harrelson, Michelle Williams y Stephen Graham. El ritmo es rápido y sigue las convenciones del género, sin embargo, no es una película original, pero adopta su propio estilo y es esa vibra lo que me mantiene interesado.
