Despite having Anne Hathaway and Chiwetel Ejiofor in the cast, Locked Down does not manage to blend drama about a failed relationship with actual laughs. There are a few jokes that are worth a giggle, but the success rate is low, and the two-hour-long movie becomes tedious. The central relationship lacks sparkle, and the cameos fail to spice up the proceedings. Ultimately, this movie misses the opportunity to capture the strange times we live in, and instead feels hollow and rushed.

A pesar de tener a Anne Hathaway y Chiwetel Ejiofor en el elenco, Locked Down no logra mezclar el drama sobre una relación fallida con risas reales. Hay algunos chistes que valen la pena, pero la tasa de éxito es baja y la película de dos horas se vuelve tediosa. La relación central carece de brillo y los cameos no logran animar el proceso. En última instancia, esta película pierde la oportunidad de capturar los tiempos extraños en los que vivimos y, en cambio, se siente hueca y apresurada.
