SINOPSIS
La verdad sobre el plan de Sera ha salido a la luz, y ha hecho pedazos la frágil confianza que se había forjado entre ella y Nyktos. Rodeada de personas que no confían en ella, solo le queda cumplir con su deber. Hará lo que sea necesario para acabar con Kolis, el falso Rey de Dioses, y su gobierno tiránico en el Iliseeum, y así detener la amenaza que supone para el mundo mortal. No obstante, Nyktos tiene un plan, y mientras trabajan juntos lo último que necesitan es la innegable y abrasadora pasión que continúa ardiendo entre ellos. Sera no puede permitirse enamorarse del torturado Primigenio, especialmente ahora que la posibilidad de obtener una vida alejada de un destino que nunca quiso está más cerca que nunca.
Y cuando Sera comienza a darse cuenta de que quiere ser más que Consorte solo en el nombre, el peligro que los acecha se intensifica. I’ve been hooked on the ‘Blood and Ash’ series, having read four books and one from the ‘Flesh and Fire’ series. Now, a new book titled ‘A Light in the Flame’ has captivated me. It’s better than my previous favorite, ‘A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire.’ This book is the second in the ‘Flesh and Fire’ series, a spin-off prequel to ‘Blood and Ash.’ The author, Jennifer L. Armentrout, didn’t just provide a standalone prequel; instead, she wove a complete saga that sets the stage for the main series.
Going into ‘A Light in the Flame,’ my expectations were high. However, the book did not disappoint. It establishes its own storyline within this captivating world, and it could be JLA’s best novel to date. The story is heartfelt and authentic, with characters that evolve, a plot that progresses, and an abundance of spicy moments. It stirred my emotions, left me satisfied, yet still longing for more.
The main characters, Sera and Ash/Nyktos, remind me of Poppy and Castel from the main series. This helps readers to connect with them. Sera is calm, intelligent, and can hold her own. Ash, on the other hand, is a powerful primal with a certain degree of narcissism. Their story is filled with ups and downs, agreements, and disagreements. The tension between them is intense and catches you off guard just when you expect them to take the next step.
If you hesitated to read ‘A Shadow in the Ember’ or thought it was merely a retelling of ‘From Blood and Ash’, don’t worry. ‘A Light in the Flame’ is a different story. Sera and Nyktos have their own challenges and growth, and they undergo a breathtaking, tumultuous journey. The book is chock-full of references to ‘The War of Two Queens’ and foretells the future of the series.
‘A Light in the Flame’ delivers in every way. It leaves room for your imagination, despite knowing where Sera and Nyktos end up. This book is not only for young adults; it also caters to the ‘new adult’ category. I’m eagerly awaiting the next book in the series, and I can’t recommend this author’s works enough. They’re as brilliant as diamonds on the streets of Dalos. But be warned: the book is hard to put down, especially the final 40%. And the ending? It’s a surprise. Enjoy!

Me he enganchado a la serie ‘Blood and Ash’, habiendo leído cuatro libros y uno de la serie ‘Flesh and Fire’. Ahora, un nuevo libro llamado ‘A Light in the Flame’ me ha cautivado. Es mejor que mi favorito anterior, ‘A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire’. Este libro es el segundo de la serie ‘Flesh and Fire’, un spin-off que sirve de precuela a ‘Blood and Ash’. La autora, Jennifer L. Armentrout, no se limitó a ofrecernos una única precuela, sino que tejió una saga completa que prepara el terreno para la serie principal.
Mis expectativas eran altas al comenzar ‘A Light in the Flame’, pero el libro no me decepcionó.
