Albert Einstein is renowned for his Theory of Relativity (e=mc2), and in his Final Theory, he claimed to have uncovered the formula for the Theory of Everything, which could either bring peace or destruction to the world. Knowing the potential ramifications of his findings, Einstein gave the information to three of his colleagues, but not to a fourth, as he did not trust him. When one of the colleagues, Hans Kleinman, is found mortally wounded in a hospital, he gives David Swift, who knew him, a series of numbers that may lead him to the Theory of Everything. Unfortunately, the other two physicists have been murdered, meaning that David must enlist the help of Amil Gupta, the fourth colleague.
This leads the US government, and an unknown entity, to become involved in the chase for the formula, leading to David’s estranged wife and son being drawn in as well. The journey for the formula begins in New York and continues through West Virginia, Florida, and New Jersey. Along the way, readers are exposed to the ruthless lengths people will go to to get what they want, with a number of deaths resulting. Though the technical aspect of the book, involving protons, neutrinos, and antiprotons, can be difficult to understand, overall the book is an enjoyable read, and a thrilling adventure.
